We pray that the many happy memories of Damon’s life with all of you will, with time, overcome the sadness and pain that have accompanied you all as you journeyed these later years with Damon. Damon did a lot in the community, but I particularly remember his dedication to our church. He worked tirelessly and was a good friend to all. We will always remember our happy times with Damon. Damon Ernest Whitfield 56 passed away after a long struggle with cancer on Wednesday, October 17th, 2018 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born on [April 25, 1917] in [Newport News, VA] to Lonnie and Gene Whitfield.Damon is survived by his parents; Lonnie and Gene Whitfield, his children; David Whitfield and Sheila Whitfield and lastly his siblings Yolanda Whitfield - Barnes, Brandon Whitfield and Herman Whitfield. Funeral services will be performed by Reverend Charles Bolden at the Compton Heights Christian Church on Saturday, October 27^that 9:00AM.
