We are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Gradie Jefferson, who was born on June 27, 1944, in Kansas City, Missouri. Gradie passed away on April 5, 2026, at her home.

Gradie married Charles Jefferson I, January 13, 1961. Together, they raised five children: Charles Jefferson II, Bruce Jefferson, Victor Jefferson, Marcea Jefferson, and Walter Jefferson.Gradie and Charles divorced in 1972. Gradie was also a proud grandparent to 10 grandchildren.

Gradie attended Manual High School and graduated in 1962. She was a devouted housewife and mother for many years til all five of her kids were grown. Gradie then went on to work for Volume Food Services and Mars Petcare. In her free time, Gradie enjoyed playing Bingo and cards with family and friends, as well as visiting the casino for some entertainment.

Gradie will be remembered for her warmth, laughter, sense of humor, and kind spirit. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Rest in peace, Gradie Lee Jefferson. You will always hold a special place in our hearts.
