Craig ConnellyCraig J. Connelly, 64, passed away on January 22, 2017, at the VA Hospital in Hot Springs, SD, due to complications from pneumonia. Services at a later date are pending through the Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home in Parker SD. Craig was born on October 28th, 1952. He grew up in Parker, SD and graduated from Parker High School. He attended and graduated from South Dakota State University and the University Of South Dakota Law School. Craig served in the Navy, where he was positioned on the USS John F. Kennedy. He was a resident at the Veteran's Memorial Home in Hot Springs, SD.Craig was an avid reader and an eloquent writer. His main hobby was geocaching. He enjoyed listening to Blue Grass music and had quite an album collection. Craig was the coach of the Parker swim team in the mid 70's.Blessed to have had him in our lives are his mother Suzanne Connelly (Tea, SD), his sisters Cheryl (Ken) Lundin, Tea, SD, and Joanne (Gregg) Bollinger, Kansas City, Mo, a brother, Todd Connelly, a very special person, Mary Patricia Madsen, Gayville, SD., three nieces and a nephew.Craig was preceded in death by his father, The Honorable Riley W.
