Mr. Cornell Thomas of 722 cloverdale circle, Cordele, Georgia died Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, September 23, 2018 at 3:00 P. M. in the sanctuary of the Greater Gum Creek Baptist, Georgia. The burial will follow in the churchyard cemetery.

Mr. Cornell Thomas was born August 23, 1962 in Dooly County, Georgia. He was born to the late Mr. Nathan Thomas, Sr. and the late Mrs. Martha Bell Carter Thomas.

Cornell was educated in the public schools of Dooly County. He confessed hope in Christ and united with the Greater Gum Creek Baptist Church in Cordele, Georgia.

He was a fun-loving person who enjoyed joking and making others laugh. He also enjoyed fishing and playing cards.

On Wednesday, September 5, 2018 this earthly life came to a peaceful end. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sons, Mr. Tyler Thomas, Markese Thomas, and Mario Thomas

He leaves precious memories to his loving and devoted children, Mr Mario Thomas of vienna, Georgia, Mr. Markese Thomas of Cordele, Georgia, Mr Tyler Thomas of Cordele, Georgia; a host of nieces and nephews, many cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends, to include a special friend, Ms. Mahalia Clark of Pinehurst, Georgia and a devoted friend and caretaker, Ms. Selma Leggett of Byromville, Georgia.
