Corey was born on August 1, 1977, and his untimely departure has left a void in the lives of all who knew and loved him. Corey resided in the vibrant city of Memphis, Tennessee, where he made a lasting impact on those around him.

Corey was a remarkable individual, possessing a warmth and kindness that radiated from within. His infectious laugh, genuine smile, and compassionate nature touched the lives of everyone he encountered. Corey had an incredible ability to make others feel seen and valued, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a listening ear.

An avid adventurer, Corey possessed an insatiable thirst for knowledge and experiences. His wanderlust took him to breathtaking destinations around the world, enabling him to immerse himself in various cultures and broaden his perspective. Corey's passion for travel inspired those close to him to embrace the beauty and diversity of our planet.

Corey was also a dedicated professional who took tremendous pride in his work. As an accomplished architect, his creative vision beautifully transformed skylines and shaped the communities he served. Family was of utmost importance to Corey, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Loving son, caring brother, and devoted uncle, he treasured his time together with loved ones. Corey Kirkland is survived by his loving parents, John and Mary Kirkland; his siblings, Rebecca (Michael) Williams and Matthew (Sarah) Kirkland; his adoring nieces and nephews, Emma, Joshua, Ella, and Benjamin; as well as numerous extended family members, close friends, and colleagues who will miss him dearly.

A memorial service to celebrate Corey's life will be held on November 27, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the Central Chapel in Memphis. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Corey's name to a charity of your choice.
