Shortly after high school, Chet enlisted in the United States Army of which he was honorably discharged after serving his country during peacetime. On September 15, 1962, Chet married the love of his life, Norma Stephens whom preceded him in death. Together they shared 50 wonderful years of marriage.Chet dedicated over 30 years of experience as a skilled tradesman at General Motors. He also was a member and faithful servant at the Pulaskiville Community Bible Church. Chet often got caught up in the excitement of sports. He made sure to see as many of his adopted grandkids in their various sporting activities. He also enjoyed watching Ohio State football and basketball; as well as, the Bengals, Browns, and Dallas Cowboys. The great outdoors was truly Chet's playground. He loved going coon hunting, horse racing, various fair and 4-H activities, and all sorts of animals. Most of all, Chet loved to help others in need even if you didn't know you needed help.
