Cheryl Watson, 66, of Athens, Alabama, passed on March 31, 2023. Cheryl was born on April 17, 1956 to Melvin and Elizabeth Welch in Madison, WI. After Cheryl graduated from Flomaton High School, she went on to become a book keeper for the city hall and then soon after moved to Miami, FL

In 1976, Cheryl met William Watson at the local grocery store she was working. Cheryl and William went on to have one child, Zackary Watson. 

In 2016, Cheryl and William sold their farm and retired and spent her time traveling the country in her RV, reading scripture, gardening, and volunteering her time at the local shelters.

Cheryl was predeceased by Melvin Welch Jr. and Larry Welch, her younger brothers. Diane is survived by Gail Broderick, her older sister.
