Mr. Charles Bridgeforth, 78 of Detroit, MI departed his earthly life on Friday April 19, 2019.

Born May 25, 1941 to the late Ruth King Bridgeforth and the late William Charles Bridgeforth in Detroit, Michigan.

Charles was a jokester and spirtual person. He had jokes that could make you cry of laughter. He would teach you a thing or two as well. He was known for his pleasant smile that embraced us all. He loved his family and was very proud of family.

 He attended Detroit Public Schools. He graduated from Cooley High School. He served in the U.S. Armed Forces from 1961 through 1965. He spent many years after the Armed Forces truck driving. Charles was a faithful member of Greater Grace Temple where he served as senior citizen minister. 

He leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter Venetta Bridgeforth of home; two sons: Randy Bridgeforth (Orthell) of home, Rodney Bridgeforth (Stephanie) of Atlantic City, six grandchildren: Carolina Hollis, Deborah Hollis, Vanessa Jordan, Timothy Hollis, Lonnie Bridgeforth, Lester Bridgeforth ; twenty greatgrandchildren: Rachelle Bridgeforth, DJanae Bridgeforth, Amari Bridgeforth, Chatoya Bridgeforth, Joseph Bridgeforth, Stephon Bridgeforth, Darnell Broach, Marquis Broach, Jayla Jordan, Jamiah Jordan, Taylor Jordan, James Jordan, Darrell Jordan, India Bridgeforth, Jabari Bridgeforth, Malcom Hollis, Karlos Hollis, Hakeem Hollis, Kevin Hollis, Jasmine Hollis. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  A special friend Ms. Aberta Dunn.
