Charles M. "Mike" MillerDRESDEN: Charles M. "Mike" Miller, 66, of Dresden, passed away at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2013 at Genesis Hospice & Palliative Care. He was born on February 5, 1947, in Zanesville, a son of Delmer Miller of Zanesville and the late Janet Masterson. He had worked as a heavy equipment operator for Ohio Machinery, Sidwell's and Shelly Company. He served our country and protected our freedom by serving in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He was a member of the Muskingum Presbyterian Church, VFW George Selsam Post #1058, Amity Lodge #5 F&AM, Amrou Grotto and the American Legion.In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Carol Swain Miller of the home; three sons, Aaron Mitchell of Lima, OH, Chad Mitchell of North Carolina and Chris (Shannon) Mitchell of Dresden; a daughter, Caren McCoy of Zanesville; seven grandchildren, Braxton and Brennon Mitchell, Ian and Austin McCoy, Kristina Mitchell, Kandice Dingey and Adrianna Gibson; a great-granddaughter, Erianna Dingey; a sister, Jana Dunn of Gaysport; a special sister, Lynn (Bob) Mathews; and special friends at the VFW.In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Muriel and Thom Catlett; his first wife, Pamela Gabriel Miller; and a special brother, Dan Gabriel.Friends and family may call from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 11, 2013 at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Jim Schumacher officiating.
