She served as a missionary for nine years in Haiti and Mexico, retired at the early age of 50, then returned to school to learn Photography. She even had her own darkroom. She was honored to have an autograph photo of Celine Dion. Mrs. Degeytair had many friends with Festival International and was often invited by many artists to visit their homes which she did having visited fourteen different countries. She loved the French Heritage and was the only volunteer listed in the Festival Anniversary Book. But, to those who didn't, the witch is gone! Those were truly her exact words, as she said it with a smile on her face.View the obituary and guestbook online at www.mourning.comMartin & Castille-DOWNTOWN-330 St. Landry St., Lafayette, LA 70506, 337-234-2311
