Funeral service for Ms. Carrie Lee Lockhart 89, of Hurtsboro, AL, will be at 12:00 noon, Thursday, September 14, 2023, at First Missionary Baptist Church Hurtsboro, AL, 36803, Rev Roland Austin, will officiate.

Ms. Lockhart , who passed away, Tuesday , September 5, 2023 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama, was born June 11,1934 in Lee County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Wednesday, September 13, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. The family will be present from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Carrie Lee committed her life to the Lord many years ago. She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Hurtsboro, AL until her health declined. She devoted her life to serving her family. She loved cats, telling stories, fishing, drawing, and making jewelry.

She is Proceeded in death by her one of her sons, Ray Charles Lockhart , and one daughter Lakeiah Mennifield

To cherish her memories she leaves: two daughters, Diane Lockhart and Annie Gunn both of Opelika, Alabama; One Son, Carsmon Mennifield, a half-brother, Charlie Thomas, Jr. of Detroit, Michigan; 7 Grandchildren , and 4 Great-Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
