Carlos L. Rodriguez, 68, of Daytona Beach, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on November 26, 2016. He was born on June 25, 1948 in Ponce Puerto Rico, the son of Jorge and Carmen (Velez) Rodriguez. Carlos was raised in Brooklyn, New York and served two tours of duty in Vietnam and was a decorated veteran of the United States Army. He continued his military service in the National Guard Reserves. Carlos retired in Daytona Beach, Fl. where he was a member of the Eagles Club 489. Carlos is survived by his wife Marla, his father Jorge, a daughter Vanessa (Luis) Muniz, and grandchildren Luis III, and Jessica. Also his siblings Hector, Lydia, Ana and Jorge along with ten nieces and nephews and 33 great-nieces and great-nephews. Services will be Friday, December 2, 2016 at 6:00 PM from the Cardwell, Baggett and Summers Funeral Home, 301 Big Tree Road, South Daytona, with a gathering of family and friends from 4:00 until the time of the Service.
