Bonnie Marie Simmons, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Colonial Health and Rehab Center after a brief battle with lung cancer.

She was born in Leitchfield, Kentucky to Margaret Proctor-Poggenborg. She was an RN and worked various places including Home of The Innocence, Humana Hospital System, and Georgetown Manor Nursing Home. She will be remembered for her kind and caring spirit.

She is proceeded in death by her mother, Margaret Proctor-Poggenborg and brother, Raymond Poggenborg Jr. Remaining to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jessica Simmons, longtime partner, Joe Ramsey, faithful friend for life, Mike, brothers, Louie and Bruce (Dawn), many nieces and nephews, her grandchildren, and a host of friends and extended family.
