Betty Jean Bowser (born Thomas) was born on January 21, 1943 to the late Edolia and Martel Thomas. Betty made her transition peacefully on September 26, 2023 at the age of 80.


Betty moved from Lake Charles, LA to San Francisco CA and married the late William Curtis Bowser Jr. This union produced three sons: William C. Bowser III, Bryan K. Bowser Sr., and Michael Bowser.


She leaves behind to cherish her memory two sons: William C. Bowser III, Bryan K. Bowser Sr.; grandchildren Bryan K. Bowser Jr., Jahson Martel Bowser, Divine Ruth Bowser; great grandchildren Essence Bowser and Rayvon Myshawn Johnson Jr.; three sisters: Emma McKeown and Geraldine Adkins of Flint MI, and Mathilda Rigmaiden of Lake Charles, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close family friends.


Betty, sometimes referred to as “Mother”, worked for the federal government for 20+ years. She was known for her dedication to line dancing and was always a classy lady. Betty’s kind-hearted personality, joyful laugh, and bright smile endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be greatly missed.
