Avril Raelynn Everleigh Thomas

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Avril Thomas, who was born July 2nd, 2024, and peacefully left us to return to her home in the sky on July 13th, 2024, in Omaha, Nebraska. Avril was the beloved daughter of James Thomas and Janelle Winners.

Avril was very much wanted and very loved. She brought such joy to our family and tons of love, despite her short time with us. She was a very spoiled girl and knew how to get us wrapped around her tiny little finger. We nicknamed her Princess Screech, because she never wanted to be set down. She always wanted to be held and would screech like a pterodactyl if you even tried to set her down.  She filled our home with so much light and happiness. Avril’s hobbies included sleeping, nursing, cuddling and even her adorable hiccups, which reminded us of a popcorn machine. She brought so many smiles to all of us.

We will forever cherish our little girl and we will miss her for eternity. She only brought goodness and love into this world, her memory will live on and always be treasured. 

Avril’s passing was unexpected, she went peacefully in her sleep at home with us and her brother (Kaison). She will forever hold a place in our hearts, and we will continue to keep her memory alive. 

Avril leaves behind Mom (Janelle Winners), Dad (James Thomas), Sisters: Alana Thomas, Maycee Hughes, Madilynn Hughes, Brothers: Maddox Hughes, and Kaison Thomas.

Avril was preceded in death by her Great grandfather Charles Winners (Maternal), Great grandmother Marlene Winners (Maternal), Great grandmother Jackie Loomis, Grandmother Jennifer Hansen (Maternal) and her beloved Aunt Madison Winners (Maternal). Uncle Drew (Rooster) Ross (Paternal) Great grandfather Gordan Black (Paternal).
