A life well lived

Arvid Kurt Mauritzson(Harvey), 80, born on July 18,1941 went home to be with the lord in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family April 9,2022 at 7:11P.M.
Beloved husband of 59 1/2 years to Janice Mauritzson.

Arvid grew up in Bristol, South Dakota with his parents and 10 siblings. 

Arvid and Janice moved to Michigan in December of 1962. 

He was a active member of the UAW and retired with General Motors Truck and Bus after 30 years.

He enjoyed working on trucks, traveling, BINGO, casino, wood working, and loved being around his family and friends.
 

Arvid maintained a sense of humor all the way to the end, he impacted many lives.

He is survived by, His loving wife Janice Mauritzson (Sykora). His son Kurt (Trish) Mauritzson, daughter Shawn (Frank) Boguth. Grandchildren Felisha (Michael) Mylonakis, Amber (Mike) Frame, Jayden, Katelyn, Justin, Logan Mlujeak. Great Grandchildren Alexis,Blake, and Carson. Siblings Sonja (Dean) Emmen, Karin (Jens) Fink, Ronnie Mauritzson, Kathy Mauritzson, Randy,Mark, Joe Mauritzson. And many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by parents Burt and Millie mauritzson, his sister Shirley Jones, and his brother John Mauritzson. 

He will be truly missed by many.
