Arneal B Starver Obituary

In Loving Memory,

Arneal B Starver was born to Cornelius Howard and Hattie Howard in Marion, Alabama on June 11, 1943. She declared her faith in Christ at an early age and was a memeber of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Marion, Alabama. Arneal had one sister, Dorothy Stewart, nee' Howard, and five brothers: James Howard, Curley Howard, Ulysses Howard, Tommie Howard and Simpson Howard.

At a young age, Arneal moved to Birmingham, Alabama, where she lived with an aunt. Afterward, as a young woman, she met and married her first husband Edward Thomas. Arneal graduated from cosmetology school in Bessemer, Alabama, but pursued her profession in various states. Residing in Cleveland, Ohio, Arneal met and married Clarance Starver, who proceded her in death. Some years later she met and shared her life with Albert Wright, a loving companion who brought her many years of happiness before his passing.

Bae, as she was most often called by family and friends, had a real flair for style. She was known for her signature remarkably long fingernails that she was very proud of. Her nails were always styled in red, her favorite color. Bae loved nice clothing and jewelry and wore them well... she loved to look good. Periodicals, novels, entertainment magazines, and her most treasured Bible were always nearby for her reading pleasure. Bae also had an extensive photo collection providing loving memories of family and friends- a reflection of how meaningful they were in her life.

With failing health, on May 16, 2021, God saw her fit to call Arneal home. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clarence Starver and five of her six siblings: Dorothy, James, Curley, Ulysses and Tommie. Left with many cherished memories of Arneal are her brother Simpson Howard and his wife, Priscilla, of Cleveland, Ohio; a second sister-in-law, Elvie Howard of Alambama, and a host of nieces and nephews, extended family, and longtime friends.
