MOSSBROOKS, Arline Arline Casperson Mossbrooks, age 87, of Lawrenceville, GA formerly of Norcross, GA and Rochester, NY passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016 after a multiple year battle with Dementia and Alzheimer's. She is survived by her husband of fifty-four years, Donald John Mossbrooks. She is also survived by her children, her son, Scott and Eileen Mossbrooks of Flowery Branch, GA, and her daughter, Sharyll Mossbrooks of Lawrenceville, GA; her brothers, David Casperson and Ralph Casperson of Rochester, NY; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Mossbrooks was born on July 4, 1929 in Rochester, New York. She was a 1946 graduate of John Marshall High School in Rochester, NY and became an RN after attending the University of Rochester. She worked as an RN at Genesee Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY and then for Dr. Schultz's private practice before giving birth to Scott and Sharyll. After moving to Georgia in April 1969, she worked as a bookkeeper at Diving World, USA and as the church registrar at both Holy Innocents Episcopal Church and the St. Mary & Martha of Bethany Episcopal Church where she retired from and was an active member. Mrs. Mossbrooks was always a fierce competitor who really enjoyed bowling in leagues, gardening, cheering for her children in sports and life, being active in the community, her church, and supporting great causes for children and pets. A Burial Mass will be held at 11:00am on Saturday November 26th, 2106 at St. Mary & Martha of Bethany Episcopal Church, 4346 Ridge Rd., Buford, GA 30519.
