Amos Pitts, aged 58, of Milledgeville, Georgia, passed away on March 12, 2026, much to the relief of his wife, Sarah Pitts. Born on March 4, 1967, Amos lived a life full of laughter and joy, much like his favorite hobby of playing pool.

Amos leaves behind his three children, Quenlin, Tambrea, and Shawn, who were the source of much of his grey hairs but also his greatest pride. He also leaves behind five grandchildren who will never forget the stories he used to tell them.

After graduating from Baldwin High School in 1989, Amos continued his studies at Fort Valley State University, where he graduated in 1993. He then went on to serve in the U.S. Marines, eventually retiring as a Master Sergeant in 2012.

Those who knew Amos will remember him for his quick wit, infectious smile, and love for life. He will be greatly missed by all, except maybe the pool sharks at his favorite bar.
