Amelia Marie Yorks was born on January 18^th, 1953 in Louisville, Kentucky. She weighed 7lb 8oz and was a very healthy baby born to Jennifer & Chris Paine. Growing up, she was a star student in class and was awarded many honors certificates. After she graduated high school, she met her future husband Lloyd Robinson Yorks. They courted and fell in love, leading to them tying the knot and settling down in New Orleans, Louisiana. There, they had their two daughters Christine and Marie. 

Amelia passed on October 9th, 2022. She was a loving and understanding grandparent to four beautiful grandchildren as well as a caring mother to her two daughters. Her favorite passtime was putting together puzzles with her sister June on the kitchen table and reminisce on the past. She resided in New Orleans, Louisiana until her death on October 9th, 2022 in bed surrounded by those who loved her. 

She is survived by her two daughters: Christine Yorks & Marie Yorks-Jones; her granddaughters: Leeann Yorks, Nicole Yorks and Melanie Stanart; her nephew: Johnathan Lee Morales; and her greatgrandson Leon Richard Yorks. She will always be viewed as a beacon of hope and light in the family and missed dearly by all.
