We are saddened to announce the passing of Alvin Wallace, who left this world on July 13, 2024, at the age of 98. Born on March 14, 1926, in Spanish Town, Saint Catherine Parish, Jamaica.

Alvin was a dedicated father to four children: Verdayne, Delvert, Omar, and Woodrow. He also leaves behind eight beloved grandchildren.

Alvin studied at Merl Grove High School, graduating in 1942. He then furthered his education at the University of the West Indies, receiving his degree in 1948.

Alvin had a fulfilling career at the Department of Social Services, where he worked diligently until his retirement in 1992.

Outside of his professional life, Alvin had a passion for reading and writing short poems. He had a unique sense of humor and a contagious smile that will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Although our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we take comfort in knowing that Alvin lived a long and fulfilling life, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter.
