Mr. Alvin Charles Walker Sr.,  passed away unexpectedly at the age of 63, in his home on February 8, 2021. At the time of his death he was residing in Hemet, California.

Alvin is survived by his Uncle Johnny Walker, his 6 children; Alvin Walker Jr, Jennifer Walker, Doris Walker, Ryan Walker (LaMiya), Julian Walker (Alexi),and Byron Walker and his fifteen grandchildren; Javen, Aiden, Tina Marie, Adrienne, AyMeris, Derek, LaMer, Ami, Elijah, Rhian, Serenity, Teagan, AyMial, LaMi, and Remy Lynn, along with a host of cousins and other loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his mother Doris Gene Walker Wilson, brothers Reginald Wilson and Melvin Walker, and his beloved wife Carrie Lynn Walker.

Alvin was born on February 9, 1957 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He was always known as a sweet, easy going, shy guy and got along well with others, even though he was very much an introvert. He married Carrie Lynn Burns, his high school sweetheart on July 14, 1984. Alvin and Carrie began their family in 1985 and had 6 beautiful children in 6 years time. Alvin jr., Jennifer, Doris, Ryan, Julian and Byron. After moving to Compton, Ca, Alvin started a lucrative landscaping business called Walkers Lawn Service.

Owning his own landscaping business opened up the opportunity for his sons to assist in helping and to learn many valuable lessons along the way. It was that family business that until this day has taught each of his children the definition of hard work and dedication. Alvin was a very hard worker and had that same reputation amongst the community in which he worked. Mr. Walker was not only a hard worker he was also a family man that beat the odds and allowed his children to grow up in a two parent household.

A memorial is scheduled for February 27, 2021 at 4pm atSea Sprite Ocean Front Hotel at 1016 The Strand, 90254, Hermosa Beach California, with a reception to follow. His children will facilitate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the life of Alvin Walker Sr.
