On December 26, 2022, Alan Kern passed away peacefully in his home in Washington Twp, MI. He was 62 years old.

Alan is survived by his parents Joseph and Donna Kern; His wife of 37 years Tammy Kern; His children Angela (Andrew), Anthony (Shayna), Alan Jr (Alexis), and Jerry (Lavinia); Siblings Brian (Renee), Connie, and Corrie. Grandchildren Joshua, Brooklyn, Abel, Ella, Hudson, Blake and Reagan.

Alan was born on May 4, 1960 in Ontario, Canada. He graduated from Sterling Heights High School in 1978. Alan loved spending time with his family, riding his Harley with his son, brother and nephew, as well as dedicating his time to missionary work with Shepherd’s Gate Church.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on January 21, 2023. Visitation will be at 10:00am, until the time of service at 11:00am. Shepherd's Gate Church, 12400 23 Mile Road Shelby Township, Michigan 48315
