Milton A. "Milt" Hollenbaugh, age 86, of Corning, NY passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Corning Hospital. Milton was born on September 15, 1930 in Purple Brook, PA, the son of the late Allen and Lillian (Johnson) Hollenbaugh. He was a graduate of Corning Free Academy. He joined the United States Army, serving from 1951 to 1953. He married Joanne Lesso in December of 1951. He worked for Corning Glass Works as a tool grinder in General Machine Shop, retiring with over 38 years of service. Milt will be remembered as a man with many interests, ranging from hunting and fishing to singing and playing guitar. He was well read with a vast knowledge on many subjects. His family values, work ethic and strength were incomparable. He was a wonderful family man and a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by and will be greatly missed by: three children; Sheila Wilson of Big Flats, NY, Michael Hollenbaugh of Corning, NY, Brenda Flynn of Webster, TX; grandchildren: Pamela Colborn of Elmira, NY, Eric and Shane Flynn of Webster, TX; great-grandchildren: Samantha and Brian Colborn; sister-in-law, Sylvia Baldini; brother-in-law, Archie Ribble; very special friends, Peggy and Deland Butler; and many nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents and wife, Joanne, Milt was predeceased by a sister, Ilene Ribble. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, December 5, 2016 from 3:00PM to 4:00PM at South Corning Methodist Church, 12 Caton Road, Corning NY. A funeral service will follow at 4:00PM, Rev. Patrick Holder officiating. Immediately following there will be at time of food and fellowship at the church.
