AUGUSTA-Wedel, Michael Allen Ross Eugene Wedel, Michael Allen Ross Eugene, 69 of Augusta, KS, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. AKA "Silver Fox", Michael was born on December 25, 1946 in Missouri and adopted by Marion and VaLeta (Treft) Wedel of Pretty Prairie, KS around the age of 9. Michael graduated from Pretty Prairie High School and following graduation, enlisted in the United States Navy. Michael had a love for the drums, playing pool, dancing, his children, grandchildren and overall loved making friends and being the life of the party. He is survived by his sister, Lee (Wedel) Barrett of Kersey, Colorado; two daughters, Kelley (Wedel) Harris of Andover, KS. and Amber Wedel of Wichita, KS; son Damon Wedel of Haysville, KS; two grandchildren, Amaya Harris & Gabrielle Wedel. Michael was preceded in death by his parents. There was a private memorial service for the immediate family and cremation has taken place. Michael's ashes will be taken to a place he called home, Colorado.
