Maureen Antoinette Daniels died May 10, 2018, at the age of 85

A resident of Wilmington, Delaware she was a great cook and gracious hostess.

"She always made me feel welcome in her beautiful home," said Dawn (Dee) Orie-Fearon, a friend from Philadelphia,Pa. "We ate everything she put on the table and were blessed with her chow and pepper sauce to carry back home to Philly."

Moncrief left a lasting impression by sharing her hospitality with others. "I will forever cherish that time," Orie-Fearon said.

Moncrief was a retired educator at Warner Elementary and Highlands Elementary Schools. She was married to her husband Robert for 63 years. 

A funeral service will be held at noon Saturday, May. 12, at Bethel AME Church in WIlmington. Burial will be in Cathedral Cemetary in Wilmington.
