The couple resided in south Kansas City, and together they traveled the world, shared their love of gardening and spent summers at their lake place with family. They were married 26 years until Fred's death in 2003. An active member of Red Bridge United Methodist Church, Mary Ann met Dale Roberts, also recently widowed, and they married in 2006. They spent several happy years together with a very active social life until Alzheimer's affected Mary Ann's health. She died peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 4, 2016.
