Martha FoxMartha Lou Escher Fox, nee Pollard, 87, of Brighton, Colo., born on June 13,1929, in Flora, Ill., died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016.Martha was raised in Flora, Ill., and graduated from Flora High School. She resided most of her life in O'Fallon, Ill., before later moving to Brighton, Colo. Martha was a member of O'Fallon Church of Christ, O'Fallon, Ill., before joining Grace Church in Fairview Heights, Ill., and then North Metro Church in Thornton, Colo. She worked for Penn Cen Truck Lines in Fairmont City, Ill., before retiring.She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Fox and Leroy Escher; daughter, Louise Bowen; grandson, David Bowen; her parents, Charles and Evelue, nee Painter, Pollard; and brother, Charles C. Pollard.Surviving are her children, Nancy L. (Ron) Ver Steegt Sanderson, Wanda L. (Bill) Escher and Gordon L. Escher; grandchildren, Amelia Ver Steegt, Elizabeth Ver Steegt, Stacey Fox, Carla Johnson, Debra Jeremiah, and William Bowen; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, McKinley S. J. (Sharon) Pollard and many more family members and friends.
