STURDEVANTMark G. Mark G. Sturdevant, 63, of Point Place, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at home with his wife by his side. He was born on January 24, 1953, to Robert and Elizabeth (Weidinger) Sturdevant-Christ.Mark had earned his Eagle Scout by his senior year of high school. After graduation, he earned his Bachelor's degree and made a career as a project manager and supervisor in the construction industry. Mark was a member of the Toledo Ski Club. He loved downhill skiing and was a very adventurous man. Unbeknownst to his mother, he also did skydiving. He was also a member of Bay View Yacht Club. He loved to sail his boat, Miss Sea on Lake Erie. In his free time, he was a woodworker. He made furniture and hand crafted kayaks of his own design. Mark donated two of his kayaks to the Victory Center and the Anne Grady Foundation as a fundraiser. Left to cherish Mark's memory is his wife, Corinne Sturdevant; mother, Elizabeth Christ; son, Rodger (Kelli) Scarbeck; daughter, who lovingly called him step dude, Cassandra Scarbeck; grandchildren, Andrew, Luke, Sam, and Carinne; sisters, Molly, Beth, and Jill; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Sturdevant; brother, Daniel Danny; and sister, Nedra.A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the David R. Jasin-Hoening Funeral Home, 5300 N. Summit St., Toledo. OH 43611.
