Luella M. Dunn 1922 - 2016ROME - Luella M. Dunn, 94, of Rome, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 7, 2016.She was born on June 7, 1922, the daughter of the late Ambrose and Ida Barton Reome. She was a member of the 1940 graduating class at St. Aloysius Academy. On January 19, 1943, she married Howard "Augie" Dunn. He passed away on March 2, 2006.In 1962, Luella became a district manager for Avon Products and retired in 1985. She joined the Rosewood Twig and she had over 13,000 hours of service. She was recently recognized for her many years of volunteer service at Rome Memorial Hospital with the President's Lifetime Achievement Award signed by President Obama.Luella was a talented singer and sang with many local bands and musicians.She was a member of St. Mary's/St. Peter's Church and the Altar and Rosary Society and Senior Group, the Ava Dorfman Senior Center, and the South Rome Seniors.Luella is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Bruce Tucker, of Verona; a son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence and Bernadette Dunn, of New Hartford; a daughter-in-law, Deborah Dunn, of Rome; four grandchildren, Elizabeth (Peter) Canty, Meghan Dunn, Jennifer (Matt) Pray and Matthew (Denise) Dunn; eight great-grandchildren, Maggie, Ceci, Howie, Logan, Sean, Nora, Alex and Rita; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Timothy and Patrick, and a brother, Robert Reome.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 2:00 PM at St. Peter's Church with the Rev. Philip Hearn officiating. Interment will take place in St. Peter's Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N.
