Coles, Lois R.Lois R. Coles (Rossway), 92 of Whitney Point passed away peacefully at Ideal Nursing Home on December 22, 2016. She was born on September 7, 1924 in Pleasant Valley, NY. She was predeceased by her husband Robert in 2007, sister Helen Woodward and brother Otto Rossway. She is survived by two sons, Gary Coles of Whitney Point, Richard Coles ( Monica) of Kingwood, TX, and daughter Linda O'Brien (William Jr.) of Venice, FL, sister-in-law Virginia Rossway of Pleasant Valley, NY, six grandchildren Matthew Coles, Ryan Coles, Whitney Coles, William O'Brien , Kelly O'Brien, Mario Campero and seven great grandchildren. Lois was a member of the Whitney Point Methodist Church, 1945 Graduate of Delhi College. She was active in the various family businesses, Coles Poultry Farm, Coles Hardware and Appliances, Miss Lynn Laundry, and Whitney Point Wholesale Meats. She was active in Whitney Point Sew & Sew, and Ecumenical Quilters. The family wishes to thank the loving caregivers of Lourdes Hospital and Ideal Nursing Home for their excellent care. Interment will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park at a later date. The family will receive friends at the Whitney Point United Methodist Church Thursday December 29, 2016 from 10:30 am until service time at 11:30 am.
