HARRINGTON - Judith Ann "Judy" (Moore) Hudson passed away on Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, after a five year battle with Myelofibrosis and Leukemia. She was born on Jan. 31, 1949 in Wilmington, to the late George R. and Florence Ford Moore. Judy and her husband, Cliff, were as close as any couple could be. Cliff always told everyone how much he loved Judy, but she loved him even more. Judy dearly loved her children and grandchildren more then words could say. She loved baking, gardening, helping others, and her beloved chocolate lab, Huddy. Judy loved working for 20 years with the Lake Forest School District as the cafeteria manager. She loved "her girls" and seeing all the children each day. She was a former member of the Felton-Viola United Methodist Church, and attended the New Life Church in Harrington. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary 6009, where she served as secretary for many years. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Susan H. Hudson. She is survived by her loving husband, of nearly 47 years, Clifford W. Hudson; son, David C. Hudson; daughter, Karen H. (Michael) McGee; five beloved grandchildren, Melina and Nikolas Hudson, Raymond, Zachary, Heather McGee; brother, G. Robert (Karen) Moore; sister, Joyce M. (Stanley) Barczewski; sister-in-law, Marjorie H. (Charles) Armstrong; brother-in-law, Charles (Barbara) Hudson; dear best friend, Anita Sherren; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family. Services will take place on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at the Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, at 12PM, with a visitation starting two hours prior. The interment will take place at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Myelofibrosis and/or Leukemia research or to the Delaware Hospice.
