Juanita "Jenny" MadridMay 12, 1932-October 19, 2016Our Heavenly Father embraced our precious Mother in his loving arms and carried her home on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 in Chandler, AZ. "Jenny" as she was fondly known by her family and friends was born on May 12, 1932 in Mesilla, NM to Rafael and Canuta Telles. Mom, we find comfort and peace that you are no longer suffering and no longer in pain from the leukemia that afflicted you a few years ago. We are heartbroken that you are not here with us physically but you will forever live in our hearts.Our mother leaves behind her loving husband of 66 years, Ramon L. Madrid of Chandler, AZ; her eleven children, who were the sparkle in her eyes, Ernestine Medrano, and Patty Madrid, both of Chandler, AZ, Anna Castaneda and her husband Paul, Armando Madrid and his wife Sandra, Irene Madrid, Andy Madrid, and Gilbert Madrid all of Mesa, AZ. Ray Madrid of Peoria, AZ, Ricky Madrid and his wife Barbara, Edmundo Madrid all of Las Cruces, NM and Jaime Madrid and his wife Ida of La Mesa, NM. Other survivors include 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Juanita was preceded in death by two sons, Danny and Joseph Madrid; her parents, Rafael and Canuta Telles; her sisters, Manuela Smith and Virginia Murphy and her brother, Arturo Telles.Mrs. Madrid will be reposing from 3 PM to 5 PM Thursday October 27, 2016 at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 300 E. Boutz Road. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be the same evening at 7:30 PM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral, 1240 S. Espina where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Friday, October 28, 2016. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in the San Albino Cemetery where she will be laid to rest.Serving as casket bearers will be her sons, Ricky, Edmundo, Jaime, Armando, Andy, Gilbert and her daughter Irene, and her grandson Josh Santiallano.
