Jason W. QuillenNewark - Jason Quillen, 36, of Newark, Delaware, formerly from Hockessin, Delaware, passed away the evening of November 9, 2017. Jason was born on April 6, 1981 to Frank and JoAnn (Money) Quillen and was a wonderful older brother to Ryan and devoted husband to Jennifer. Jason was born and raised in Delaware, graduated from the Sanford School and obtained his undergraduate degree in history from University of Delaware. Jason married Jennifer Ketay on April 29, 2017. He was a loving fur-father to his "dog-ter" Dakota, whom he adopted in 2011. Jason loved rock music. He was an avid Pearl Jam and Counting Crows fan and loved going to concerts with his friends and Jennifer. He also enjoyed traveling. He experienced a semester in London and loved to go on vacations with his family, most recently a memorable trip to California. Jason was witty and had a great sense of humor. He always had a joke to lighten the mood and loved giving gag gifts at birthdays and holidays. He was employed as an Anti Money Laundering Analyst at Citibank. Jason's biggest source of pride was his family. Jason is survived by his grandparents, Blaine Money (Poppop) and Sara Money (Mommom) (Middletown, Delaware); parents, Frank and JoAnn Quillen (Hockessin Delaware and West Palm Beach, Florida); brother, Ryan and his wife, Kate (Baltimore, Maryland); and his wife, Jennifer.A viewing will be held at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek, Wilmington, DE 19808 on Thursday, November 16 from 10:00-11:00AM. Funeral services will begin at 11:00AM.
