Irma A. SlemonsAGE: 85 • NewarkIrma A. Slemons, age 85, of Wilmington, DE, passed away surrounded by her loving family on November 17, 2016. Irma was born on February 5, 1931 in Germany to the late Otto and Bertha Bressler. Irma enjoyed gardening and taking care of her home. She was an avid walker, she would walk 3 miles a day talking to neighbors and friends along the way. Irma's greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.She is survived by her sons and their spouses: Ludwig and Glenda Bienkowski, Martin and Diana Bienkowski; her daughters and their spouses: Brigid and Wayne Evans, and Michelle Marenco; her sisters, Cristel, Trouchen; 5 grandchildren Courtney, Crystal, Matthew, Amanda, and Troy; and 4 great grandchildren; Sophie, Caden, Michael, and Ariana. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Slemons; her brother Erving Bressler, and her 3 sisters Eldegard, Leesaluter, Frechin.A viewing will be held on Monday, November 21 at Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Road, Newark, DE 19702 from 10:00-11am followed by a service in celebration of her life at 11am.
