Helen Daniels, passed away peacefully on Thursday April 23, 2020 at Beth Abraham rehab center in the Bronx at the age of 88yrs. old. She was born July 6, 1931 in Baltimore, Maryland to Daniel and Mary Walker.  One of five children they bore together in union, Daniel, Charles, and Mack whom preceded her in death. Helen attended grade school and worked many positions until she landed a job with the Board of Education as a Food Service helper and Cook at P.S. 192 for over 25yrs. Helen married Douglas Daniels(who preceded her in death) lived in 33 Convent Avenue in Harlem and moved to 1062 East 227st in the early 80's. She lived life to the fullest holding family cookouts, weddings, holiday dinners and taking care of all children from around the way to her grand and great grandchildren. She loved to make everyone feel safe, fed and loved. Helen was also a full time Mother of her church, The Gospel of St. Luke, where she spent most her time with prayer partners and congregation. She donated to Feed The Children and took care of everyone to the best of her ability. Helen told you her feelings and thoughts whether you liked it or not, that was just her personality she gave it to you 110 percent no chaser. We will miss her cooking, hugs and love. Helen is survived by her sister Angelina, her children Lisa(Daniel)Dicks, Reginald(Charlene)Mccoy, Zona, and Andre Mccoy. Her Grandchildren, Desiree(Jeffrey)Spriggs, Malik Dickerson, Maurice and Marcus Mccoy, Jahloni, Jaleesa and Jahrell Dukes. Her Great-Grandchildren, Marquis Warrick and Andrina Spriggs, Malik Dickerson JR., Justin and Aubrey Dukes and Makai Dickerson, and her Godcdaughter Elizabeth. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of close family members and all who engaged with her spirit.
