Hagop Garbis "Gabe" PelifianUTICA - Hagop Garbis "Gabe" Pelifian, 80, died on Thursday, August 17, 2017, at the Heritage Home in Utica, comforted by his family at his side.He will be so greatly missed. He was born on September 5, 1936, in Massena, the son of Carl K. Pelifian and Alice (Attanasian) Pelifian. He graduated from Massena High School in 1954 and served in the US Army.He leaves his daughter Leslie and son-in-law, William Russo, of Milltown, NJ; his brother, Henry; and sister, Avkeena Pelifian, of Gardnerville, NV; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Anahid Rice. The family wishes special thanks to Nancy Hoff and friend, Mario Marchigiano, of West Leyden. Thanks also to Andy and staff at Bethany Gardens in Rome and Heritage Home.A lovely memorial service was held for family and friends by Pastor Anita Moore at Our Saviour Lutheran Church.
