A Time to Be Born: Gregory Charles Cook, son of Edward Cook and Betty Cook was born on May 24, 1954, Brooklyn,New York. He attended school in New York.
His Purpose: Gregory was a hard worker from a young age. He was a Daily News Golden Gloves Boxer in his youth.As an adult, Gregory (or Greg “Black”as he was affectionately known)worked as a Painter and Plasterer for the New York City Housing Authority for twenty years until he retired on medical disability.
Time to Love: Greg loved being around his family and friends. Whenever he was around, he would always make you laugh. Greg was a sharp dresser.He loved his wife Thelma and son Lil Greg. At any family function, you would always see him with his uncle Spot ( Randy).
He was preceded in death by his father Bishop Edward Cook, his brother Lewis Cook,and his sister Carol Cook-Roberts.
He leaves to Mourn; Loving Wife,Thelma;His Loving Son, Greg;His Loving Mother, Mrs Betty Thomas;Loving Step Mother Pastor Edith Cook;two step daughters; two grandchildren;one sister, Ruth Cook; brothers, Gerald, Victor and Charles Cook;two stepbrothers,Vernon and Elonzo Hubbard;Brother in law, Ray Roberts and William Ketcham;two stepsisters, Camille Brown and Violet Hubbard; three uncles, Willie,Ray and Randy Cook; six aunts;Shirley,Gloria, Margret,Lessie, Irma and Laverne. A host of nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews, cousins and friends.
