Gertrude GriffinLAGRANGE - Gertrude Griffin, 74, of the Town of LaGrange, passed away on August 24, 2017 at the Lutheran Care Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. She was born on March 13, 1943 in Poughkeepsie, NY, the daughter of DeWitt & Hazel Boone Kniffin. Trudy graduated with an A.A.S. Degree from Dutchess Community college and went on to be a Computer Programmer for IBM in Poughkeepsie, NY and retired in 2005. She enjoyed music, especially playing the piano, doing Stain Glass, Quilting, crafts, gardening and needle work. Her favorite holiday of the year was Christmas.She is survived by her sister: Carol A. Kniffin of LaGrange, NY; uncle: James Ryan of Hawthorne, Fla. and her beloved pets: Barney, Abby and Beau. She was predeceased by her sister: Dorothy Cortwright.There are no calling hours.
