Eddie Holloway, 83, was the son of the late Richard and Lucretia Holloway. He was born May 26, 1935 in McCormick, South Carolina. He departed this earthly life on Monday, February 25, 2019 at Lexington Medical Center, West Columbia, South Carolina to join his late wife, Mary Lou Holloway.
Mr. Holloway was educated in the public schools of South Carolina. He was a hard working man, which he gave over 30 years to Union Swith and Signal. He was employed there from November 13, 1974 until January 1, 2008, retiring twice.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, but he left so many behind to cherish his precious memories. Eddie is survived by five children and two stepchildren: four sons - Eddie (Brenda) Holloway, Jr. of Jackson, Georgia, James Holloway of Saluda, South Carolina, Victor Holloway of Columbia, South Carolina and Keith (Vanessa) Holloway of Zebulon, Georgia; one daughter - Miriam (Felix) Samuel of Columbia, South Carolina; two stepdaughters - Priscilla (Tony) Mosley of Summerville, South Carolina and Denean (Floyd) Johnson of Columbia, South Carolina; six granddaughters - Takier Wiggins, Tameka (Jermain) Caldwell, Kayla (Manny) Hightower, Eveatoya Holloway, Trenee (Radames) Fregoso, and Jasmine Holloway; four grandsons - Michael Holloway, Eric Holloway, Felix (Tara) Samuel, Jr., and Jeremiah (Kelly) Samuel; four step grandchildren - Antonio Mosely, Candia (Robert) Lee, Vanessa Johnson and Andrea Johnson; fourteen great grandchildren - Jaylen, Jamarius, Jakia, Jamoni, Jazlyn, Jastaria, Jaden, Mia, Jamiah, Felix, Felicity, Farah, Farell and Nate; one brother - Dorthy Holloway of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; two sisters - Katie Young of Brooklyn, New York and Julie Hoyt of Hartford, Connecticut, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, caretakers, and other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
