Michael “Pop”Dawkins, Passed Away On December 8, 2024 at the age of 69. He Attended Newark Nj Public Schools & Graduated From Malcom X Shabazz HighSchool . He Is the Beloved Son Of The Late Sadie Dawkins & James Haywood Odom . He Was Proceeded In Death By His Late Wife Edna Marie Dawkins & His Two Brothers . Michael Met And Fell In Love With Edna In The Late 1980s And They Joined In Union In 1996 . From This Union He leaves to Cherish His Memories His Two Daughters Shavvon Sumter (Alex) , Chiquita Dawkins & His Only Son Ahree Dawkins , Two Step Children Tamara Byrd & Octavia Byrd . His Seven Grandchildren Kayson, Kamayah,Kazariyah, Tiniya , Kayla , Jikai & Hayden . His Sisters Kelly Odom (Sam) , Teresa Thomas & Patricia Parrish His Brothers James Odom (Erica ) & Ray Odom Two Sister In Laws Lenatte Taylor (Anderson ) & Chiquita Byrd (Thomas) & One Loving Mother In Law Ms Ruth Byrd .A Host Of Nieces , Nephews , Cousins , & Friends .Pop As We All Called Him & To Others Mike Was Known For His Kind Spirit , His Love Of Music , And His Spade Playing Days . Michael Was True Friend To Many , Always Willing To Lend A Listening Ear Or Offer A Helping Hand . His Passion For Life And His Unwavering Spirit All Who Knew Him Cherished Him . He Will Be Deeply Missed By His Daycare Family , Dialysis Team , And All Those Whose Lives He Touched May he rest in peace.
