Donna PriceAGE: 57 • MiddletownDonna Marie Price, 57, passed away peacefully in her home in Middletown, DE surrounded by family and close friends on May 14, 2017. She was born on February 18, 1960 in Wilmington, Delaware to Donald E. "Buzzy" Price and Jacquelyn Deming Price. Donna grew up in the Middletown area and was active in the community. As a young girl, she enjoyed caring for her horses and was a member of the Middletown Pony Club, where she earned her B rating as a pony club member.She was a graduate of Broadmeadow School in Middletown, DE where she played Field Hockey and Lacrosse along with many school activities. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Salisbury University where she was a member of the Social Work Club, Go Getters and many intermural sports teams. She recently retired from the State of Delaware after 29 years of service as a Social Worker. Donna Marie loved to garden, go to the beach, attend soccer games and spend time with family and friends. She was known for her love of Diet Coke, and colorful clothing and shoes. She was a loving mother, always putting her two daughters first. She was kind and generous to everyone and treasured the lifelong friendships she made. She was an animal lover, as many wild animals and stray cats found their way to her back deck. She is survived by her two daughters Kelsey Price and Caelin Rebecca Price, her parents Donald E. Price and Jacquelyn Price, her brother A. John Price (Vicki), her sister Kathy A. Potts (John), her nephews Donald Potts (Amy), Jacob Potts (Whitney) and her niece Katie Smith (Ben). The family would like to thank Terry Brooks' and family, the staff of VITAS and all of her caring friends. A memorial service celebrating Donna's life will be held on Saturday, May 20th at 1:00pm at Middletown Baptist Church, 419 Armstrong Corner Rd., Middletown, DE 19709. A visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00. We would like to thank all of you who loved and knew her for your prayers and support.
