Dino Clerico Dino Clerico passed away on October 27, 2016, surrounded by his loving family, after a short illness.Dino was born on November 28, 1920 in Akron, Ohio. He was a World War II Sargent First Class and a decorated Army Veteran. He fought in the Philippines and received a Purple Heart and three bronze stars. After the war ended, he graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art, where he became an Industrial Designer. Dino's creative talent found him a lifetime career with Goodyear Aerospace as a Technical Illustrator working on highly confidential government contracts. Once he retired, he continued to keep busy, by building and flying radio controlled airplanes, painting beautiful wall murals for his granddaughter and painting numerous landscapes and flowers that can fill an entire gallery. Dino embodied the definition of "The Greatest Generation". A true hero, especially to his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Maria and siblings, David, Louise, Lucy, Madeline and Frank. Dino leaves behind his wife, Louise, after 70 years of marriage; two children, Jeff (Pam) and Patty (Gary); three grandchildren, (Amanda, Joe, Jessica); sister-in-law, Violet Sandrene; and many nieces and nephews.Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4 at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 810 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls.
