Delores J. JonesCLYDE: Delores J. Jones, 86, of Clyde, passed away peacefully at her home on March 12, 2017. She was born on May 2, 1930 in Republic, OH to David and Lula (Shimer) Burdette. Dory graduated from Gibsonburg High School in 1948. In 1949 she married Don M. Jones at the Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hessville. Before retiring in 1988, Dory worked at the Union Carbide Corp. for 22 years.She was a former member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and the VFW Auxiliary in Clyde. In Dory's spare time she enjoyed gardening, cooking, and sewing. Everyone was welcome in her home, and she treasured the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. She loved hosting holiday parties, camping and traveling.Surviving is her husband of 67 years, Don; children, Patricia (Bob) Frye of Fremont, Jeffrey (Aurora) Jones of Oak Harbor, Michael (Gina) Jones, and Jill (Darren Allen) Sadoski both of Clyde; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Dory is preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter; 3 brothers; and 3 sisters. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Herman-Karlovetz & Cremation Services, Fremont. Pastor Dennis Wansitler will officiate.
