Christa Katharina Burkett LUBBOCK-Christa Katharina Burkett, 75, passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017, at a Lubbock hospital. She was born on Dec. 20, 1941 in Sponheim, Germany, to Johann and Berta Schneider. She married Billy Nelson Burkett on July 26, 1961, in Germany. Christa enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. She worked in management for Stripes for many years. She is survived by her son, Steve; daughter, Jo'Anne; sister, Gisela Revels; and her brother, Acheim Schneider. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, at Resthaven Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, in Resthaven Memorial Park.
