Carrie Flores, 71, a lifetime resident of Las Vegas, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012 in Albuquerque.She was born on June 9, 1941 in Las Vegas to the late Merejildo Romero and Andrea Garcia-Romero.She retired as a Administrative Clerk from U.S. West Telecommunications after working there 36 years. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church Bereavement Group. She taught Catechism at I.C. Church.She was preceded in death by her parents: Merejildo and Andrea Romero; sisters: Marie Ritchie and Rita Salazar; niece: Sonia Baca; niece: Renee Collins-Gonzales.She is survived by her son: Joseph Flores and fiancee Juliette; grandson: Joseph Daniel Leon Flores and fiancee Janis; granddaughter: Devyenne Gallegos; grandson: Christopher Flores and fiancee Renee all of Las Vegas; grandson: Chase Flores of Albuquerque; grandson: Jose J. Montaño; granddaughter: Laquisha Montaño both of Las Vegas; great-grandchildren: Marilynn, J.R. and Gabriella Flores; sister: Grace Castellano and husband Johnny of Las Vegas; sister: Jane Apodaca and husband Max of Las Vegas; sister: Cathy Collins and husband Ray of Las Vegas; sister: Irene Geoffrion and husband Artie of Las Vegas; brother: Sonny Romero of Las Vegas; brother: Gilbert Romero and wife Hiilani of San Diego, Calif.; sister: Lorraine Romero and husband Richard of Las Vegas; sister: Louise Sandy of Las Vegas; brother-in-law: Augustine Timmy Salazar of California; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.Rosary services were to be held at 8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 23 at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas. Funeral Services were scheduled for at 9 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 24 at Immaculate Conception Church with Father George V. Salazar as celebrant.
