Betty Jeanne BournBetty Jeanne Bourn, 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 2, 2017.She was born on November 1, 1927 in Akron, Ohio. Betty worked for Lake Local Schools as head of their cafeteria services for many years. She also volunteered at Edwin Shaw Hospital for 27 years. Betty loved knitting and quilting and was an avid gardener.Preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Ellis "Bud" Bourn; her parents, Russell and Florence Boyer; and great grandson, Nigel Bourn. She is survived by her sons, Perry (Mary Lou), Gary (Wendy) and Chuck (Kathy); grandchildren, Brian, Christopher, Matthew, Zachary (Shelley), Brooke (Jason) Mitchell, Samantha (Nick) English, and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Muriel and Bennett Bourn, Cole and Blakely Mitchell and Lee English; sister, Phyllis (Bob) Evans; numerous loving relatives and dear friends.The family would like to thank the staff at Whitewood Village in North Canton for their compassionate care and would also like to express their gratitude to Betty's special friend, Holly Reese, for her love, concern and wonderful care.Per Betty's wishes there will not be any public services.
