Barbara Louise HerzogAGE: 70 • LebanonBarbara Louise (Seltzer) Herzog, 70, of Lebanon, peacefully passed from this earth on January 29th, 2017 in Hershey Medical Center surrounded by family.Our maw-maw had persevered through a multitude of health issues for over a decade; all the while she continued to be the pillar and caregiver for her family. She was born on April 12th, 1946 in Philadelphia, a daughter of the late C. John and Stella E.(Reidenhour) Obyle. Barbara was the wife of Barry Lee Herzog to whom she married on April 12th, 1969. Mrs. Herzog was employed by Reading Hospital, Lebanon Valley General Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital where she retired as a Registered Nurse after 47 years of service.Her education included graduating from Lebanon High class of 1964, Lebanon Practical Nursing School, Reading Hospital School of Nursing and Lebanon Valley College. Her hobbies included Quilting, Counted Cross Stich, Embroidery, Baking Cookies for her grandsons, Reading, Greeting and visiting with many friends at Mel's Diner.Surviving in addition to her husband are her sons: Keith John, husband of Regina Gwynn Herzog, Wilmington, DE and David Christopher, husband of Sherry Herzog, Elizabethtown; grandsons: Zachary Tyler, Alexander Michael and Jacob David Herzog; sister: Linda C, wife of Roger F. Hager of Dillsburg; brother: Elbert C. Obyle of Lebanon; Brother in law: Richard, husband of Linda Herzog, Reading; many nieces and nephews. Barbara was predeceased by her brother Wayne R. Obyle.A funeral service will be held in the Rohland Funeral Home Inc. 508 Cumberland St, Lebanon, PA, 17042 on Tuesday, February 7th, 2017 at 10:00AM with a viewing from 9:00AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at 11:30AM. There will be a viewing on Monday, February 6th, 2017 from 7:00PM to 9:00PM.
