Anthony Joseph Bonit was born July 4, 1960 to the late John and Dewilda Bonit in The Bronx NY. He departed this life on April 3, 2020 in New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Anthony was a resident of The Bronx, NY his entire life. He was educated in the Bronx Public School System. He attended P.S. 87 elementary school, M.S. 113 middle school, and DeWitt Clinton high school where he pursued his high school diploma.
At the age of 23 he welcomed his first son Anthony J. Bonit Jr., followed by his son Raymond A. Bonit and daughter Crystal N. Wallace.
Anthony was employed by New York Presbyterian Hospital where he served as a security guard for many years. He went on to work for several other security agencies that required his services.
While on duty he met Salena Roman- Bonit whom he married in 2016. They enjoyed traveling together, going for joy rides and listening to music. She stuck by his side through sickness and in health until his untimely demise.
Anthony was full of life. He loved to laugh and enjoyed making others smile. He loved the NY Yankees and attending their baseball games. He was a man of many talents, especially cooking. He loved seafood, and relaxing to old school r&b. He was a devoted and caring man.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Salena Roman-Bonit , two sons Anthony Bonit Jr., and Raymond Bonit, a daughter Crystal Wallace, one brother Walter Bonit, seven grandchildren Brooklynn, Quamir, Jace, Jordan, London, Skylar and King, one nephew Michael Bonit and a host of relatives and friends.
