Ann Lydia BaschPoughkeepsie - Ann Lydia Basch, 82 of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017 at home. Ann was born on June 25, 1934 in Albany, NY to the Late Harry and Lydia Hoenzsch Sivers. She married Robert F. Basch on May 22, 1955 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Albany, NY and he survives at home.Ann graduated from Albany High School and the Albany Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She was a retired Registered Nurse at Vassar Brothers Hospital working in the mother/baby unit. She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, Peekskill, NY. Ann enjoyed gardening, house decorating, attending stage shows and traveling. She was very close to all her family members and always tried to attend their school or social gatherings.In addition to her husband, Ann is survived by her son, Jeffrey R. Basche, Poughkeepsie, NY, daughter, Valerie A. & Michael Britton of Pleasant Valley, NY, grandchildren Emilie, Zachary and Jacob Britton as well as two nieces. Ann is predeceased by her brother Harry R. Sivers.Visitation will take place on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the William G. Miller & Son Funeral Home, Inc. 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Graveside Service will be on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 12:00pm at St. John's Cemetery, Sandcreek Road, Albany, NY in the family plot.
